Shirt: what determines the price

Shirt: what determines the price

  • Quality of the fabric
  • Handicraft production
  • Made in Italy
  • Australian mother of pearl buttons

FABRIC:

High quality fabrics, such as those we use, affect the price; they last longerstretch better and obviously make a difference. These fine fabrics are very noticeable to the touch and sight.

MADE IN ITALY:

Unlike the competition, we produce our shirts in Italy because the high quality of Italian craftsmanship obtained by tailors with decades of experience is unmatched in the world.

In order to guarantee the highest possible quality, our shirts are produced by highly qualified tailors and seamstresses with over 45 years of experience in the Adda river area, between Bergamo and Milan, where the first handcrafted textile manufacturers were born at the end of the nineteenth century (Crespi d'Adda, a UNESCO heritage site, is a clear example).

MOTHER OF PEARL BUTTONS:

Australian mother of pearl buttons are the finest buttons ever and are 100% natural.

These extremely luxurious buttons enhance the beauty of the shirt giving it a refined elegance and a refined style.

Immediately perceptible to the touch, the value of these buttons can be seen from the iridescence of the mother of pearl and the luster of their surface.

THE ARTISAN SHIRT:

The handmade (or handcrafted) shirt requires long and meticulous production processes: it must be continuously checked in detail and some processes are still carried out by hand.

You should know that it takes us about 15 days to get a perfect high-quality shirt, while industrial production takes 30 minutes (even less).

Obviously not all handcrafted shirts are equally valuable, in fact some are more expensive than others: the type of fabricseams and buttons affect the price.

The high quality can be seen in the details, therefore all our shirts are sewn and re-stitched by expert Italian tailors with a higher stitch density than the competition: this means perfect and more resistant seams.
